Annual All-Sports Social and Awards Night

A reminder to all South Western Athletes, Managers, and Trainers that the Annual All-Sports Social and Awards Night is this coming Sunday, May 20, 2018 in our high school cafeteria and auditorium.  The refreshment social will begin at 6:00 PM followed promptly by the All-Athlete Awards in the Auditorium at 7:00 PM.  Several individual and team awards will be presented at this time, and all athletes and their families are encouraged to attend.

Students will be able to pick-up their yearbooks in the cafeteria before school from 7:35AM – 8:15AM.

Monday, May 7th: Seniors

Early Graduates: Yearbooks will be placed in the main office

Wednesday, May 9th: Juniors

Thursday, May 10th: Sophomores

Friday, May 11th: Freshmen

Extras go on sale: Monday, May 11th @ 7:35am in room 403; cost is $85.00; cash or checks only! Checks are payable to SWHS. NO EXTRAS WILL BE HELD.


Summer Driving Sign Up

Attention all sophomores, juniors and seniors that have passed Safety Education with Mr. Poalucci or Mr. Sprenkle:  Sign ups for summer driving will take place beginning Monday, May 7th.  Mr. Sprenkle, Mr. Poalucci, and Mr. Myrdal will be in the cafeteria all week from 7:45 am – 8:15 am.  Please know what dates fit your summer schedule and do not sign up unless you have discussed it with your parents.  Students that currently have Safety Ed can sign up during class as well.


Attention Seniors

Any senior who has been awarded a scholarship, please submit this information to the Counseling office:
Please include scholarships from the college or university you will be attending and/or scholarships from private organizations that you have won.  You may submit up to three scholarships with this form.  Please indicate if you would like these scholarships published in the Academic Awards Night Program (Awards Night will be Thursday, May 17th.)
This form will close on May 11th.  Submissions made after that time may not be included in the Awards Night Program.

College Signing

Congratulations to Gabby Newman (Wilson College), Alisha Kulka (Washington and Jefferson College) and Kaylee Quillen (Wilson College) as they signed national letters of commitment to play softball at their prospective schools. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication during high school and we wish you the best next year. Go Mustangs!


Sports Organizational Meeting

On Tuesday, May 8th South Western will be holding a mandatory sports organizational meeting all fall athletes entering grades 7 through 12 in the 2018-2019 school year and their parents.  If your student athlete is interested in playing a fall sport, please attend this meeting starting at 6:15 in the high school auditorium. You will be given important information regarding physicals, summer workouts, and the upcoming season. Contact your individual fall coach with any questions.
