Bells Are Ringing, SWHS Musical

At Susanswerphone, Ella uses a variety of voices and personalities to keep herself entertained. As she follows the lives of her customers, Ella becomes inextricably involved with a handsome playwright, a fledgling record company, and a dangerous crime ring. Bells Are Ringing is a joyful, mischievous romp through 1950’s New York City, a Cinderella story, and a tale about community and connection. The tuneful score, with lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green, features some of Jule Styne’s most popular songs, including “Just in Time,” “The Party’s Over,” “Long Before I Knew You” and “Better Than a Dream.”

We are a cast of 30, pit of over 30, plus another 20 crew members.

Like to Volunteer?

Our SWSD Elementary Family Science Night is less than 2 months away…May 5 from 6-9. We still need volunteer support to help run our many stations. If you cannot attend, there are many other ways the event can benefit from your support. If you are willing to help, please fill out the form by March 17 so that we can begin to plan the layout and program for the evening.
Here are ways you can support this elementary event:
1) Sign up to help by March 17 at https://goo.gl/bpiIXq . It is important for families to see faces from all district levels at this event!
2) Donate a science related item for a door prize. You can send items to Jen Cooper or Robbi Meckely at Park Hills. Sample door prizes from the past: a plant book and seeds, a dino book and set of toy dinosaurs, a science experiment kit, a book about shells and some sand toys.
4) Save paper (not styrofoam) egg cartons for us. You can send them to Jen Cooper at Park Hills.
5) If you know of a business that uses science, technology, engineering, art, or math in their work, and you think they might be willing to do a station or make a donation, please let one of us know.
Thanks so much for considering ways you can support this event!

2017 Curriculum Night

The 2017 Curriculum Night is set for Tuesday, February 21, 2017. This is an evening where incoming 9th graders and their families are invited to meet the high school faculty and learn about curriculum, courses, and programs offered at South Western High School. The program will begin in the high school auditorium at 6:30 PM with a whole-group presentation from our high school administration and school counseling department. This is a terrific time to ask questions related to each department’s course offerings and curricular content.
Hope to see you there!
