IMPORTANT DISTRICT CALENDAR CHANGE EFFECTIVE 11/16/18

Please note, as approved by the Board of School Directors at the November 14, 2018, meeting, the following amendments have been made:

School will be in session for students in grades K-8 on Monday, January 14, 2019.

Students in grades 9-12 will not be in session on Monday, January 14, 2019.

All students will be in session on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

School will NOT be in session for students on Monday, January 21, 2019. This is an in service day for teachers.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Was your child absent for Manheim’s Fall picture day? OR would you love to have your child’s school picture retaken? Please return any original picture package on the Picture Retake Day which is Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Pictures will only be taken in the morning.

Volunteer Renewal Process

District volunteers must re-register each school year to remain on the district’s approved volunteer list. Volunteers renewing their volunteer status must complete a Volunteer “Renewal” Form and bring it to the district administration office. Clearances on file are verified and the volunteer’s photo ID badge is returned with the current school year. The volunteer is then added to the approved volunteer list for the current school year. Current clearances on file are valid for 60 months from the date completed, as long as the volunteer re-registers each school year.

New District Volunteers

Volunteer registrations are completed at the district administration office, by appointment. If you are a new volunteer to the district, clearances must be dated no more than one year prior to the registration application date and a completed volunteer registration forms packet is required. All completed volunteer registration forms and clearances must be turned in to the district administration office to be verified prior to the registration appointment.

Manheim Families – Please come to the Manheim office, if your child is in need of a backpack for school. We have over 50 backpacks that have been donated to our school, and we would love to share them with you to start the 2018-2019 school year!

Are you looking for new books for your child to read this summer? Well, come to our Elementary Book Fair on July 10th, 11th, and 12th! Don’t miss this great opportunity to purchase a wide variety of books for your child! We will also have opportunities to win raffle prizes, hear a storyteller, read to therapy dogs, and explore some awesome STEM (science) activities while exploring cases of new books!! So come to our Emory H. Markle Intermediate School Cafeteria on – July 10th from 10AM-12PM or 5-7PMJuly 11th from 1-3PM or 5-7PM
July 12th from 10AM-12PM!
